Tyranitar is a dual-type Rock/Dark Pokémon species in the Pokémon series, first introduced in the second generation of Pokémon games, Pokémon Gold and Silver. It evolves from Pupitar starting at level 55, which in turn evolves from Larvitar starting at level 30. Tyranitar is known for its powerful stats, particularly in Attack and Defense, as well as its intimidating appearance resembling a large bipedal dinosaur or reptile. It's often considered one of the strongest non-legendary Pokémon in terms of offensive capabilities. Tyranitar is also notable for its Mega Evolution, Mega Tyranitar, introduced in Pokémon X and Y, which boosts its already formidable stats even further.
